What is paperless ticketing?

With paperless ticketing you are able to enter York Lions Stadium without the need of a physical ticket. No more worries about losing a ticket or realizing you left your ticket at home. You can go to your ticketing Account Manager via the browser on your smartphone to access your ticket. Just scan your ticket upon entry as if it was a physical ticket, and you’re all set!

Why is York United FC moving to paperless ticketing?

Paperless ticketing is the safest, most convenient and flexible way to receive and manage tickets. Paperless tickets provide:

  • Quick and easy entry to York Lions Stadium using your smartphone
  • The ability to manage, transfer or sell your tickets at any time
  • Reduced risk of lost, stolen, counterfeit or forgotten tickets
  • An easy way to go green by printing less paper


How do I pull up my paperless ticket?

Once you have accessed your ticketing account, you will see all your tickets for upcoming matches under the “View Tickets” tab in Account Manager

How far in advance can I access my tickets?

Tickets will be available as soon as you purchase your tickets. 

Note: If you are a season ticket member your tickets will appear upon release of the full season schedule.

Can I have multiple tickets on a single phone?

Yes. Once you tap on the game in question, you will be able to swipe left and right through the available tickets. However, we encourage you to send a ticket to each person in your group so that they may easily travel throughout York Lions Stadium on game days.

Can I use a screenshot of my ticket?

No, screenshots of tickets will not be accepted, as our mobile tickets include an animation to ensure the tickets are verified. Mobile tickets must be presented within the app, the mobile website, or within your smartphone’s wallet.

What if I lose connectivity / can’t connect to my account?

We encourage you to download your tickets to your Google wallet app before heading to the game, and store them in the wallet on your smartphone. If your tickets are on a mobile web browser, avoid clearing out your browser history until after the event.

What is the alternative option if my phone breaks, dies, is lost or stolen on game day or prior to arriving?

If you do not have a smartphone for any reason, you’ll need to visit the Box Office (located at Gate 1 on the North Side of the Stadium), on game day. Please have a valid ID for the name on the account and if possible your account number.

What if my entire party isn’t with me when I enter York Lions Stadium?

You’ll need to transfer each member their ticket individually if they are not entering with you. Each person entering the stadium will need a ticket at time of entry.


When is the cutoff to transfer tickets?

Tickets may be transferred throughout the game. Once the ticket is scanned, it will no longer be available for entry into the stadium.

What if I’m not going to the game, but I purchased tickets?

If you bought the tickets for a friend or family member, you will need to transfer the tickets to them which you can do through Account Manager. It’s easy – select the game you would like to manage, select ‘Transfer Tickets’ and enter the email address. Once you transfer tickets, the recipient will receive an email notification. They will need to accept the transfer at which point the tickets will be in their account. (They must ‘accept the transfer’ to access the tickets.)

How do I accept tickets someone has sent me?

Click on the “View Tickets” tab on the York United Account Manager website, and you should see all Incoming Ticket Offers. Click accept to complete the transfer of the ticket. You can only access pending incoming transfers on the AccountManager website at this time.

Does the person I sent the tickets to need an account?

Yes. If they don’t have one already, they will need to create a ticketing account in the acceptance process. You can create a ticketing AccountManager account here.

What if I forward tickets to the wrong email address? Can I recall tickets I’ve sent?

As long as the tickets have not been accepted by the recipient, you can cancel a transfer within the Account Manager.

When is the cutoff to transfer tickets?

Tickets may be transferred throughout the game. Once the ticket is scanned, it will no longer be available for entry into the stadium.

I successfully transferred a ticket in Account Manager. Why can i still see it in my Apple Wallet/Google Pay?

When you transfer tickets in Account Manager, it doesn’t sync with your smartphone’s wallet. We suggest deleting the ticket from your wallet once it’s been transferred successfully.

Note: Once a ticket has been transferred, a new barcode is generated, and all previous copies of that ticket are no longer valid for entry.
