York United FC has officially unveiled its 2025 Primary and Alternate kits, created in collaboration with Macron.
This year’s designs are grounded in local identity, drawing inspiration from Toronto’s architecture, history, and the communities that continue to shape the city.
Primary Kit: HISTORIA
At the heart of the 2025 Primary Kit is one of Toronto’s most iconic landmarks: Old City Hall.
The jersey’s detailed pattern echoes the floral motifs and ornate stonework found throughout the building’s facade. Set in a deep green base with navy accents and a tailored collar, the look is timeless, blending heritage with confidence.
With 14 players from Toronto in the current squad, the connection between club and city runs deep. From trips across town to matchdays at York Lions Stadium, HISTORIA reflects the everyday lives of those who wear it and those who support them.
Alternate Kit: Metropolis
The Alternate Kit takes its cue from a different chapter in the city’s story.
Before Toronto became the city we know today, it was made up of six independent municipalities under the banner of Metropolitan Toronto. That unity was represented by a symbol of six interlocking loops, a symbol that inspires the design of this season’s white kit.
Subtle in texture and defined by a sharp green trim, Metropolis is a clean and modern look that quietly honours the city’s evolution.
York United FC’s 2025 jerseys are available now for purchase online at http://shop.yorkunitedfc.ca and on matchdays at York Lions Stadium. Supporters can customize each jersey with either their favourite Nine Stripes player or a personalized name and number of their choice at an additional cost.
York United kicks off the 2025 Canadian Premier League season on Sunday, April 6 at 7:00 PM, visiting Vancouver FC.
The long-awaited home opener takes place one week later, on Sunday, April 13 at 3:00 PM, when the Nine Stripes host HFX Wanderers at York Lions Stadium.
